[phpBB 2.0] How to create basic new style

Hello,

This tutorial explains how to create simple new style.

1. Clone subSilver style (how to clone subSilver)

2. Make .css file editable (how to make .css file editable)

3. Alter colors in .css file as you want and replace images that you want.

3a. When editing files like folder.gif make sure size of new image is the same as old image. Otherwise you might need to edit some tpl files to match new image size. Files like "icon_quote.gif", "msg_newpost.gif", "logo_phpBB.gif" don't have fixed size so you can use any size you want.

Additional notes:

1. If you want to edit header edit overall_header.tpl

2. If you want to edit footer edit overall_footer.tpl

3. If you want to edit forum index page edit index_body.tpl

..and so on for other pages. Names of tpl files are self explanatory.
