I have just started to get this error message everytime someone either posts a topic or sends a PM can anyone help please


Ran into problems sending Mail. Response: 554 5.7.1 : Relay access denied

Do you normally use SMTP to send mail from your board? If yes, then your host has probably changed something without telling you.

If not, then someone has been tampering with the board settings (another admin maybe?) and you should set the mail back to the php mail() setting.
ACP->General Admin->Configuration->Email Settings->Use SMTP Server for email: NO

Erm! Thanks for the quick response, everything seems fine now. Another question please... Is there anyway I can moderate a post before it is posted? I have idiots on my board I ban the name and IP address but they come back with another one.

Not that I know of with phpBB 2, but it's a standard feature of phpBB3. Maybe consider upgrading.

Thanks Unsure how to do it! And worried I will loose everything I have seen the step by step guide but it does look daunting!
