Couple of Questions

Sorry to ask such dump questions. I recently took over as ADMIN for a board. The old ADMIN got upset and left us.

How can I unban someone? It says to use the appropriate combination of mouse and keyboard.

Also, the old admin. deleted everything from the board. (This was over a years worth of posts) Is there anyway to restore this?

Also, is there a way to set up a forum so that new users must have permission from the administrators before joining? Rather than simply creating a user id and password and registering with their e-mail address?

For bans, in the ACP check under User Admin->Ban Control.

Once posts have been deleted they're gone. Unless you have a backup of the database there's no way to restore the posts.

As for the user activation, set it to "Admin" (ACP->General Admin->Configuration->Enable account activation (None, User, Admin)) in order to have an email sent to all administrators in order to activate accounts.
