overall header not updating

Hi everyone,

I am trying to customize the subsilver2 template. I have done some customization work in the past, and aperently the .tmpl files are now .html files.

Every time however, that I make a change to the overall header - it will not update. Is there any reason that this might happen?

actually, any file that i edit and upload does not change, except the main css

i just entirely deleated the header and it still shows up. this is perplexing

I'm guessing your editing it using FTP or Cpanel. Make sure the permissions are set so that the file is open to edit by phpBB. Or, try editing the files through the ACP.

However, you will have to adjust permissions on the files

Try to set chmod on overall_header.html to 644

I can't seem to find where the permissions can be changed. Should I be using the ACP to edit permissions? The overall_header.html won't update when I make changes. I am editing the files using FTP. Please help.

Use FTP-program to change the permission on files. Ore if you have cpanel on yours webhotel, you can use cpanel to change permission on files.
