Adding users to forum - Can I do it or do they all have to?

Postby seakay1978 on Sat Feb 17, 2007 2:40 pm

Hi there,

I have a forum I have set up for my class, but rather than have them all email me, is there any way I can add them to the forum and register them myself?

There is also an Admin User Register mod available here that should do the job for you :

http://www.phpbbhacks.com/load.php?id=2901

You can directly add the Usernames and give them passwords and they need be activated too ;-)

Thanks for the tip, am I right in thinking though that this won't work on a free forum?

I m not sure about it - But I think it should work without any probs - Just to be sure can you tell me which free webhost are you on ?

Most of the free webhosts today have upgraded their features these days and I think it might work ;-)

Greetings,

seakay1978: Your correct in your thinking.

Ash Hi Fi Zone: Your confusing a free web host with a free forum.
