ok so im using morpheus and i wanted to make a left side panel with ads but i was having trouble with the tables , I finally got the code right so i figured id give back to the community that helped me.....

basicly what i did was i opened the viewforum_body tpl copied everything and pasted it into the one of the table cells then in the other i put the ads.....you do the same thing with viewtopic_body tpl...

these table were perfect for what i was looking for

Greetings,

The code above is wrong and will also place the ads on the right and not the left as stated.

Lines 15 and 22 should not be there.

Either the tables started on line 25 needs removing or the code for the adds needs to be placed within the table and a cell needs adding.

And the easiest way to add another column would be to edit the relevant file, using the 'viewforum_body.tpl' mention above I'd do it this way, added lines are the highlighted ones;

I wouldnt call the code above wrong, just a different way of doing things, cause it works

ur right about it being a right "panel" that was a mistake on my part, simple confusion of right and left.

as for lines 15 to 22 not suppose to be there, u are right again but this code was actually pasted is a hurry from a temporary file , i dont actually have that in my final code.......

as for the tables starting on line 15 right again,but I used large spaces in between to make it easier, so people and I know where to paste there code. It dosent hurt the way the page is displayed and certainly not considered wrong.

I do appreciatte you showing me and everyone an alternative way of doing this but ive already done it my way and as of right now it works flawlesly with no problems, tested it on opera, firefox and internet explorer.

if you want a PM to my site to check it out for your self i'd be happy to send it to you.

p.s the P tag was removed from the original code and what i have up there should work fine.

As I assume your still using the 'overall_header.tpl' as well as the 'overall_footer.tpl' and therefore the above is not needed. The header does the first part and the footer the last, having them twice in a HTML document makes it wrong or invalid HTML.
