IRC Chat?

How do i go about installing an IRC chatroom onto my forum?

By installing an IRC Chat client... see here: http://www.phpbbhacks.com/category/38/ and you may also require a channel on an IRC server.

Thanks for the reply, what is the best one to use? A forum i used to be a Mod for had one where it has 'nick' in the bottom right corner, I'm sure it is quite popular. This is what i'm looking for.

The best one to use is the one that does what you want it to.
If you used to be a mod on a forum that has exactly what your looking for then did you think to ask them what they use?
Oh! wait the fog in my crystal ball is clearing and I now know exactly which forum you were a mod on and also exactly which software your on about... if only I had a good memory.

The forum is now gone and the admin is offline.
I've been looking for ages and finally found a site with the exact same IRC Chat, http://mess.be/ Click 'IRC Chat' on top right, its a java one. Where can i download this mod?
