groups based on post count?

I'm interested in creating a forum on my board that is only accessible by a certain user group. Easy enough, but I want users to be automatically added to that group if/when they have certain number of posts. I've tried a mod I found called Auto Group but I'm getting errors, and it doesn't seem to be supported anymore.

Any help is highly appreciated.

The purpose of my post wasn't to get help with the errors, which is why I didn't go into detail.

I was wanting to know if there was a different solution for the feature I wanted.

I obviously wasn't clear on that.

there is a couple of forums i wanted this for but didn't really want to add such a long winded mod, i am sure there can be done if you have xs mod installed or something

If you want my advice... install the mod you mentioned in your first post.

It does work with 2.0.21 however it may need some tweaks or you need to alter stuff when adding it to a 2.0.21 forum but it does work, I have installed it on 3 2.0.21 forums and it works fine.

However if you do install it then I would also suggest you install the 'large group' fix by the same author as trying to view group permissions with groups containing more than about 3000 users will not give you what your expecting.. but with the fix it works fine.
