I can only assume that once it is up and running strong those of us who will move to version 3.0 can bring the posts and members over from our current version 2?

Correct... when Gold is finally released, there will be an official upgrade script.

It's actually there when you go to install Olympus, you can choose the version of phpBB2 that you have and want to upgrade, I think it has support for some MODs as well.

Some of us can't wait that long.

So come on then Useless, you had a chance to have a mess with the Beta yet? What do you think?

Also, do coders immediately look at the core files and say things like "I can't believe they've assigned the block variables before the template switch" or "Interesting use of the IF statement in that array".

...or something like that.

I only have had a look at the code of template.php but not at the core yet, as it is still in development and I don't want to mess with it untill it is final due to the fact that it can still change a lot.

Yea, I was just curious if that's what you coders do. Take a look at how its been put together, look for possible improvements, pick up new techniques etc.

Yes, I have looked at the core code, and I must say, I'm very impressed with the way they have been using functions.
Meik really overdid himself creating the core code. It looks really, really A+

Yes, but it's only rumors right now...

It's said that the new secret style will emply at least 90% Divs instead of Tables.
Of course, tables are still needed for Tabular data.
