Greetings,

What are you trying to install?

To install XS Mod;

- download it
- unzip it
- upload the contents of 'root' (and not the root dir itself) to the root of your forum
- make sure 'includes/template.php' is over written
- mod installed

Mods do not get any easier to install.

And you'll be asked to delete the 'install' and 'contrib' dirs AFTER you have setup phpBB for the first time. Once you have done this you can then install XS Mod.

And from the looks of the above errors you've installed the XS Mod incorrectly, there is a post in the FAQ section about how to install it along with screen shots of how the dir structure should look before and after installation.

Greetings,

In the archive for this mod there is a root dir and in there are the following dirs;

- admin
- includes
- language
- xs_mod

all you do is upload the dirs to the root of your forum and as;

- admin
- includes
- language

already exist all you'll actually upload are the files in those dirs, there is only one file that already exists in a standard installation of phpBB and that is 'includes/template.php' and you must make sure that the FTP client your using uploads the file. Once the mod has been installed a quick visit to the ACP will tell you if you've done it right as you'll now have an extra section on the left menu which will be 'eXtreme Styles'.

Greetings,

Wrong topic for asking 'how to' questions.

But to save you looking about or using the search feature of the forum.. ;)

- download the mod
- unzip it, if required
- check to see what files will be altered by the mod by reading the install text file 'carefully', download these from the web server and then copy them so you have a back up
- if any database changes are required make those as detailed in the installation instructions
- make the changes to the files as detailed in the mod installation instructions, once you have altered the files and made any database changes you can upload the altered file to the web server

mod installed. Repeat for all the mods you want to install.
