Check if file admin/pagestart.php exists. It is present in default phpBB installation and should be on your forum too.

I am sorry if I am coming across a little thick headed here. But I could use some hlep with something if you guys have the time. I have tried many times now to get my forums site a new look. I am working with 2.0.8 phpbb. I have a templete to use but cannot get it uploaded right. Can someone explain this phrase to me, in simplier words

...2. unpack the zip(s) and place the files in their own directory in the /templates/ directory inside your phpBB2 directory. if your server is online somewhere, then you'll first need to unpack to a directory, then upload it to your server (Make sure that the folder has exactly the same name (case sensitive) as the cfg and css file. courtesy of black fluffy lion)

Sorry if I am being thickheaded here, this is my first time ever doing this. And by this I mean website, and forum making. Any help would be much appreciated.

MaTTiE: see readme.txt in zip file. And i won't email anyone so posting your email is pointless.

Ned: Just unpack style and upload its contents to directory "templates" on your forum.

It sais that to install mod you should just copy files to your forum. What can be simplier than that?

I did that Cyberalien. I got the templete to show up, but there is no theme. I get this message when I try to select the templete...

The theme information for the selected template has been saved. You should now return the permissions on the theme_info.cfg (and if applicable the selected template directory) to read-only

I really don't unserstnad what this is trying to get me to do. DO you have to download a theme, as well as a templete?

Thanks for the help Cyberalien.

You didn't upload all files. You should upload all files from zip EXACTLY as it is in zip, including all subdirectories.

i did, all i did was open the zip..make the directory, then i clicked the first file in the zip>selected all, then drag the entire cloumn into the transfer window....and that is what happened..also at one point it asked me to overwrite "index.html" and i said yes....

You forgot subdirectories. If your archiver doesn't show you any directories then get another archiver
