Hi,

The cache is a way of storing recently accessed data, to speed up other requests for it.

phpBB DOES NOT cache templates by default. If you want cache on your forum i reccomend you install eXtreme Styles Mod which will allow for a fast template compilation algorythm and fast templates execution even if it is not cached.

All users on phpBBStyles will reccomend you install it.
